Mission began with the DLR Falcon flying ahead and above the DC-8 along the katabatic flow region off the SE Greenland coast. The Falcon headed for home and the DC-8 repeated a survey of the tip jet winds off the SE coast of Greenland. Several layers of clouds forced the survey to 10,000 MSL. Eight sondes were dropped with one launch failure.
