Based on the relationships between CH3CCl3 "(and CCl4) and CFC 11 and between CH3CCl3 (and CCl4) and CH4, we estimate approximately10% of all " "samples showed apparent loss of CH3CCl3 in cans, and approximately 14% of all samples showed apparent" loss of CCl4 in cans. Most of the samples showing apparent loss of CH3CCl3 were from Oct-Dec flights. Over half of the samples showing apparent loss of CCl4 were during dives and descents. Specific samples we feel contain the most suspect CH3CCl3 and CCl4 values are flagged in the last column of the data set. "A value of 10000 indicates suspect CCl4, 20000 indicates suspect CH3CCl3, and 30000 indicates both are " suspect. A value of 1000 indicates a flag was not placed on the sample.
