OH reactivity signals from individual 20 or 30 second scans have been added together for 60 seconds. - Summing these signals compensated for the signal decrease due to quenching in the humid air at lower altitudes. - By increasing signal counts, the statistical noise in the calculated decays was reduced. - Increasing the summation time to 120 seconds gave the same OH reactivity as the 60-second average to within 10%. - OHR flow tube T and p are needed to convert ambient modeled OH reactivity so that it can be compared to measured OH reactivity. - This conversion can double the modeled OH reactivity at cold, high altitudes, but has little effect at low altitudes. - In ATom4, ~40% of the data were strongly affected by contamination in the zero air generator used in the OH source, which changed the OHR zero.
