Listing New Files

This operation is useful for determining which files have been newly archived or updated. It produces a list of file submission logs, and displays those logs in the reverse order in which the corresponding files were submitted to the archive, so the newest files are listed first.

The use of this operation requires that you select an archive, and optionally enter a filter string. Without the filter string, the list includes all files in the selected archive, which can be a very long list. With a filter string, the list includes only those lines which contain that string. The filter string is used literally, so using wild card characters (like *) will not work. For example, if you are only interested in listing files pertaining to ER-2 flights you could use the filter string: .ER2

The list displays five fields separated by a space. The significance of each field is:

  1. the file name;
  2. the file name code;
  3. the contact (often the PI);
  4. the archive subdirectory in which the file resides;
  5. the UTC date/time when the file was archived (yyyyMMdd/hhmm).
